2. Sophienburg Museum and Archives
If you are curious about how the German settlers came to central Texas then visit this museum. See local artifacts, photographic images, maps, and documents that showcase how Prince Carl established a new colony at the edge of Indian territory. 3. The Heritage Museum of the Texas Hill  Country
Trek and see more than 200 dinosaur footprints in the Texas Hill area. Listen to the guides talk about the history, geology, and details about the unique dinosaurs that roamed the city before. They also feature Cretaceous fossil collection and Native American artifacts.

This museum features a variety of photographs from the golden age on display. Most of them are directly related to New Braunfels’ operations of the International & Great Northern, MOPAC, and MKT railroads.
