Stories about love, loss, and mysteries. Here are our picks for the best places! 1. Faust Hotel Opened in 1929, there’s no wonder that this hotel is haunted. Many people say that the original owner still walks its halls and sounds of children playing can still be heard even if no one is playing. La Llorona at the Guadalupe River You might have heard several versions of this story but the most basic story is about a woman who drowned her children in a river because her husband left her for a younger woman. La Llorona means “The Weeping Woman” and she is typically described as wearing a long white dress.  4. Comal County Courthouse Employees in the courthouse say that a ghost of a former worker haunts the courthouse. If you happen to visit this place, see if you can feel the presence of Irene.
