Best River Spots in New Braunfels

River tubing is one of the fun ways to enjoy Texas and the best place to do it is in the crystal-clear waters of New Braunfels — home of the Comal and Guadalupe Rivers. If you’re unsure where to get the best river spots or would love to have a longer time in the river but don’t know how, this guide is for you.

Know that the longest Comal trip is from Landa Falls and the time of the ride depends on the water flow so your float won’t be that much longer. After the tube chute you can always stop by Float In and hang out for a while then resume. The Guadalupe River offers a much longer float and some river outfitters offer tubing for up to 6 hrs.

1. Float In
They may not offer tubing in the Guadalupe but try renting with them when planning to go to the Comal River. You can rent a float from them but they highly recommend bringing your own. Air Compressors are available on site. They also offer club memberships to let you save more.

2. Whitewater Sports
They’re conveniently located at the end of the Horseshoe Loop on the Guadalupe River so expect that you will be floating in this scenic river spot. They offer 2-6 floats but be sure to check their website for availability.

3. KL Ranch Cliffside
This is the perfect place when you want to have a full blast outdoor adventure in New Braunfels. They do not only offer tubing but you can camp, kayak, fish, picnic, and a lot more!

4. Little Ponderosa River Outfitters, LLC
They offer 2-6 hour floats and a rafting and kayaking adventure too! They offer a VIP package that includes interlocking tubes, cooler rentals, dry bags, water, and a coupon that is valid for a single item in their general store.

5. Guadalupe River Tubing - Tube Haus
They’ve been operating since 1978 and they’re located at the beginning of the famous Horseshoe Loop. They welcome your furry friends too!

6. River Sports Tubes
They offer three float times. Their short float ranges from 1/2 to 2 hours, medium float from 2-4 hours, and long float 3-6 hours but these vary according to the river levels. They’re also located along the famous Horseshoe Loop.

Float in the whitewater rapids of Guadalupe River. Their float trips include Devil's Playground Rapids and Bad Rock Rapids. Changes in river flow affect their float times so don’t hesitate to call them before tubing.
